Who Will Train Me To Be A Driver and Vehicle Standards agency Approved Driving Instructor, DVSA ADI?

All training will be on a one to one basis.

All training will be overseen by the proprietor James Quinn who is amongst the most highly qualified and experienced Driving Instructors in the country.

Any ADI training that is not delivered personally by James will be from a trainer that is suitably qualified and experienced, and will be monitored and overseen by James.

James Quinn is the proprietor of, ‘Driving instructor Trainers’, ‘Birmingham Driving School’ and ‘Fleet Driver Trainers’.

Driving Instructor Trainers offers training for people wishing to become aDriver and Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor, DVSA ADI, and also for existing driving instructors wishing to improve their standards, or take additional qualifications.

Birmingham Driving School offers training for learner drivers, newly qualified drivers wanting Pass Plus Courses, qualified drivers needing refresher courses, and more experienced drivers preparing for advanced driving tests.

Fleet Driver Trainers offers services to companies that need their drivers assessed or trained, this can be to satisfy their duty of care in relation to health and safety requirements, to reduce the collision rate of their staff, to increase their fuel economy, or any other reason for which we can tailor an assessment or training solution.

James has delivered driver training at all levels, ranging from the beginner through to those preparing for the most advanced driving tests.

James also delivers training to potential driving instructors, aiming to qualify, and also to existing driving instructors aiming to improve, develop, or extend their range of skills.

James is amongst the most highly qualified and experienced Driving Instructors in the country, and his qualifications memberships and experience include:-

• Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor, DVSA ADI since 1988
• Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Registered Fleet Driver Trainer since 2003

• Passed The Diploma in Driving Instruction
  • This consists of five written examinations:-
    • Legal Obligations and Regulations
    • Management Practices and Procedures
    • Vehicle Maintenance and Mechanical Principles
    • Driving Theory, Skills and Procedures
    • Teaching Practices and Procedures

• Qualified as a Diamond Advanced Instructor
  • Criteria to become a Diamond Advanced Instructor:-
    • Be a member of DIA
    • Pass the Diploma in Driving Instruction
    • Pass the Cardington Special Driving Test, the most advanced driving test in the UK, only open to ADIs
    • Sign and abide by The DIA Code of Conduct

• Qualified as an Examiner for Diamond Advanced Motorists
  • Conducting Diamond Advanced Motorists Advanced Driving Test, a similar standard test to ADI Part 2
  • Conducting Diamond Advanced Motorist Elite Driving Test, a more advanced driving test
  • Conducting Taxi and Private Hire Driving Tests
    • Criteria to qualify as an Examiner for Diamond Advanced Motorists
      • Diamond Advanced Motorists Examiners are all Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructors
      • They must also have experience of driver training to advanced level
      • They have passed the Diploma in Driving Instruction (DipDI) (five written exams), or completed the Diploma in Driver Education (DipDE)
      • They have passed either the DVSA Cardington Special Driving Test, or the Diamond Elite Driving Test
      • They have successfully completed the Diamond Advanced Motorists Examiners Course
