- The home study course is supplied when a DVSA ADI Part 2 course is purchased
- In Birmingham and West Midlands area the DVSA ADI Part 2 course is 8 half day sessions
- The fee for DVSA ADI Part 2 course is £1152 paid in advance
- In The Midlands Region the DVSA ADI Part 2 course is 4 full day sessions
- The fee for DVSA ADI Part 2 course is £1440 paid in advance
- The contents of The Part 1 home study course are ordered specifically for you, this ensures that all materials are up to date, therefore no refunds will be issued for this course
- If any training sessions of the DVSA ADI Part 2 course are not used:
- A refund can be issued, calculated as follows:
- DVSA ADI Part 1 Home Study Course will be charged for in full at £225.00
- Any DVSA ADI Part 2 training sessions taken, or cancelled with insufficient notice will be charged for at the pay as you train price
- In Birmingham and West Midlands area that is £180 per half day training session
- In The Midlands Region that is £450 per full day training session
- The balance will then be refunded
- A refund can be issued, calculated as follows:
- Alternatively any unused training sessions can be used for DVSA ADI Part 3 training
FREE DVSA ADI Part 3 Course and FREE Part 3 Training for the duration of your Trainee Licence
This offer is only available in The Birmingham and West Midlands area, postcode areas; B, CV, DY, WR, WS, WV
This is because in these areas we can provide you with a placement as a Trainee Driving Instructor
There are a limited number of spaces available for this offer
Acceptance onto this scheme is subject to an interview
To be eligible for this offer:
- You will already have passed DVSA ADI Part 1
- You will already have passed DVSA ADI Part 2
- You will NOT have taken any attempt at DVSA ADI Part 3
- You will have a minimum of 9 months still available of your 2 year qualification window when your trainee licence commences
- i.e. it will be less than 15 months since you passed DVSA ADI Part 1
- You will be available to work on a Trainee Licence
Responsibilities of The Trainee Driving Instructor
- You will pay for your trainee licence
- You will supply a suitable dual controlled car in which to work as a trainee driving instructor, and subsequently as a qualified driving instructor
- The car does not have to be new, but it must be legal, roadworthy and presentable
- The car can be purchased, hired or leased
- You will be responsible for all the costs relating to the dual controlled car
- You will pay the fee for all attempts at the DVSA ADI Part 3
- Depending on availability of DVSA ADI Part 3 appointments, the possible need to take more than one attempt, and any other circumstances, it may be appropriate to apply for a second trainee licence.
- The issue of a second trainee licence is not guaranteed, but if it is appropriate, you should do everything within your power to obtain it, this will allow you to continue teaching your clients, so not having to let them down, but also to continue preparing for DVSA ADI Part 3, and retaining suitable pupils to use for the test.
Free Training Provided By Driving Instructor Trainers
- Driving Instructor Trainers will provide you with a DVSA ADI Part 3 training course of fifteen half day, 3 hour training sessions before your trainee licence commences
- For the duration of your trainee licence, or until you pass DVSA ADI Part 3, whichever is sooner
- Driving Instructor Trainers will provide you with training to help you to continue your preparation for DVSA ADI Part 3
- This training will be at the rate of one half day, 3 hour training session every 2 weeks
- If a second trainee licence is required, and we are able to obtain one, the training would continue until you pass DVSA ADI Part 3, whichever is sooner
- This training will be at the rate of one half day, 3 hour training session every 2 weeks
Value of The Free Training Provided By Driving Instructor Trainers
- The DVSA ADI Part 3 training course of fifteen half day, 3 hour training sessions before your trainee licence commences
- This course would normally cost £180 per session, £2700 in total, but you will have been supplied free of charge
- The one half day, 3 hour training session every 2 weeks for the duration of your trainee licence
- This course would normally cost £180 per session, but you will have been supplied free of charge
- The one half day, 3 hour training session every 2 weeks for the duration of your second trainee licence if one is needed and we can obtain one
- This course would normally cost £180 per session, but you will have been supplied free of charge
- If you Pass DVSA ADI Part 3 after 14 weeks into your trainee licence, you would have received 22 half day training sessions, a total of 66 hours of training
- This course would normally cost £180 per session, £3960 in total, but you will have been supplied free of charge
- If you Pass DVSA ADI Part 3 after 26 weeks, you would have received 28 half day training sessions, a total of 84 hours of training
- This course would normally cost £180 per session, £5040 in total, but you will have been supplied free of charge
- If you Pass DVSA ADI Part 3 after 52 weeks, at the end of your second trainee licence you would have received 41 half day training sessions, a total of 123 hours of training
- This course would normally cost £180 per session, £7380 in total, but you will have been supplied free of charge
Is This Training Really Free?
- Yes, it is FREE
- There is a condition, but we think it's a good deal
- It is the intention of Driving Instructor Trainers to supply the training outlined above, with the aim of helping a potential driving instructor to qualify as a DVSA ADI, without having to pay the full cost of training.
- In return for Driving Instructor Trainers supplying an amount of training for no immediate fee, the potential driving instructor will commit to working under a franchise agreement with Birmingham Driving School, or one of our other sister companies.
Liquidated Damages Clause
- Liquidated Damages Clause is a legal term for a relatively simple principle
- Driving Instructor Trainers provides training to help a potential driving instructor to qualify as a DVSA ADI, without having to pay the full cost of training
- In return, the potential driving instructor will commit to working under a franchise agreement with Birmingham Driving School, or one of our other sister companies
- If the driving instructor does not continue to work with Birmingham Driving School
- The full cost of all the training provided is payable immediately
- This will be calculated at our normal rate for individual training sessions, currently £180 for a 3 hour training session
- The amount payable under this clause will reduce based on the time that the driving instructor continues to work as a franchisee with Birmingham Driving School
- It is not the intention of Driving Instructor Trainers to impose a penalty on the trainee / driving instructor, but it is necessary, that where appropriate the loss of fees for training that would normally be paid are recovered
- A contract will detail the responsibilities of both the trainee / driving instructor and Driving Instructor Trainers including the terms of the Liquidated Damages Clause
