ADI CPD is Continuous Professional Development for Approved Driving Instructors, ADIs

Continuous Professional Development is common in most working roles, and in many it is compulsory

No one knows everything, we can all learn more, we can all learn new skills, we can all develop our existing skills further.

The driving instructor that qualifies, and then sits back, doing nothing to continue learning and developing, is in danger of being left behind by their colleagues or competitors

ADI CPD can take various forms, some can be extremely expensive, and require a large time commitment, other CPD can be very cheap, sometimes even free, and require less time commitment.

ADI CPD can include; reading books or magazine articles; information on websites; webinars; podcasts; classroom courses or workshops; online courses; longer courses sometimes leading to a formal qualification; one to one training.

• Driving Instructor Trainers is able to offer one to one training for qualified ADIs wanting to update, or improve their skills
  • Training could be to further develop your driving skills, perhaps as preparation for one of the Advanced Driving Tests

  • Training can also be provided in any business skills, for example customer care, marketing, advertising strategies
