- What time period are you committing to?

- A franchise agreement will typically committ you to paying a fixed fee for a minimum time period
- Some franchises involve the driving instructor agreeing and committing to certain actions
- Some franchises involve the driving school committing to very little
- A guarantee to provide a certain number of clients over a year, may not protect you
- You can't dispute the clause until the year is over, the driving school could provide you with a lot of clients in the final week of the year!
- The clause may not specify how many lessons the client will have
- Do you pay the franchise if you can't work, for example:
- If you are ill?
